We can’t wait to meet you and your pet!

We are always accepting new clients for Spaw Bath and nail trim appointments. Please email to book! New to our grooming salon? We currently have a waitlist for prospective grooming clients. WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY BOOKING NEW PROFESSIONAL GROOMING CLIENTS FOR 2024. Please fill out our New Client Form AND send an email to appointments@viennapetspaw.com stating that you would like to be added to our waiting list. If you do not do both, we will not be able to add you to the list. We will email you back confirming that you have been added, and let you know what our current wait is. If you have trouble with the Google form, let us know and we will send it to you in a different format. Please click here to access our new customer Google form. Do not be afraid to over share, the more we know about your pet, the better we can serve you both. Completion of this form (including submission of your most recent vaccination record) is required prior to your first visit. We require all of our clients without exception be vaccinated for Rabies and Canine Distemper. We strongly advise that your dog is also vaccinated against Bordetella and Canine Influenza, however if you choose not to do so your pet is participating in grooming at our salon at your own risk. Similar to kids who go to school with the flu, these ailments are airborne. Anytime your dog is in the company of other dogs while unvaccinated, they are at high risk of infection. Below you will find our booking policies and answers to our most commonly asked questions.

Booking Policies

*We request a 3-4 hour window for all grooming appointments (excluding appointments with Special Handling or Express Service). If this timing does not work for you or you are concerned for any reason you must let us know PRIOR to your appointment to make special arrangements. This may lead to a Special Handling Fee or Express Service Fee on a case by case basis.

*There is a 15 minute late grace period. Unfortunately if you are later (without notice) we will likely have to reschedule.

*If you are a client on a recurring schedule and you No Call/No Show you will be required to have a credit card on file to secure your future appointments. If you No Call/No Show a second time your card will be charged for 50% of the appointment cost. Three or more No Call/No Shows will result in your recurring schedule being cancelled. We understand things come up, so if you notify us more than 3 hours prior to your appointment time you will not be charged and we will do our best to reschedule you.

*ALL clients will be required to fill out a Client Release Form at your pet’s first appointment.

*We have implemented a High Risk Groom Release Form. This will be required for clients whose dogs are of senior age (10+), have moderate to severe matting, or have other health concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will services take?

If you are scheduled for a full grooming session, expect to leave your pup for 4 hours. Time generally varies due to our schedule that day, the complexity of the haircut, and your pup’s temperament. If you are just coming in for a bath appointment, expect to leave your pup for about two hours. Unless of course you have a super hairy pup on your hands! If you have specific time constraints, please let us know in advance and we will do our very best to accommodate.

Why do you book so far in advance/why is it so hard to reschedule my grooming appointment?

As a small boutique salon, many of our regular clients prebook their appointments for each calendar year in advance. This process helps your dog stay on a recurring schedule, and also helps us see where on the calendar we have time to accommodate new clients. Even if you have to reschedule, a future date, having a standing appointment on the books makes moving time slots much easier. There is a national “groomer shortage” and we are doing the best to work with our limited staff while keeping safety and quality at the top of our priority list.

Will you crate my dog?

We do have crates for safety and security reasons. All of our crates are in plain view of staff at all times and we do NOT have heated drying crates. We have crates with fans attached for drying, but they are not heated and blow cool neutral air. Please let us know if your dog has any sensitivities related to crating.

What shampoos do you use?

We use Isle of Dogs, Show Seasons, iGroom, and Bobbi Panter shampoos and conditioners. We have a wide range of different shampoos for different coats and skin conditions, whatever your pup’s needs, we have the right shampoo! All of our shampoos are soap and sulfate free.

My dog has been banned from another grooming salon. Can I still bring him/her in?

Of course! We know that many of our four-legged friends do not love their bath and haircut. We will patiently work with your pup to get the job done to the absolute best of our ability. Special Handling fees may apply.

Am I able to stay while my dog is being groomed?

Unfortunately that is a service we no longer provide following the COVID 19 pandemic. Our salon is very open concept and you have a full view of our staff and facilities. If your pet has medical or behavioral issues you would like to discuss, please reach out prior to your appointment so we can plan any necessary accommodations.

Do I have to pick up my dog right away?

We ask that you please schedule your appointment at a time you will be able to pick your dog up within four hours for grooming and two hours for bathing. We understand that things come up and we always try to accommodate special requests, but unfortunately we do not have the space to provide doggy daycare services.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We are CASHLESS and accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. Our system does allow for Apple Pay & Google Pay, and we can keep your credit card on file if that makes pick up easier for you. Contactless payment options are available, inquire at drop off. Cash tips are always appreciated or you can add gratuity to your credit card.

I always have trouble finding parking on Church Street. Where can I park when I drop off my pet?

We DO have a 5 minute pet drop off spot in front of our store. This is for drop offs and pick ups only, not for use if you plan to stay for more than a few minutes. The Clock Shop has graciously given us this drop off spot on their property, and in return we please request that you do not park in The Clock Shop’s designated spots, or in their driveway! Parking there is not permitted without their permission. Donny and Gayle will happily let you park for a quick minute if you pop in and let them know what you are doing. There is also a parking lot directly behind the building, street parking, 4 hour garage parking by Bazin’s on Church, and a municipal lot next to the Caboose and the W&OD. Give us a call if you cannot find parking and we will come out to help!

Do you groom cats?

Unfortunately we do not offer cat grooming. We can clip their nails, however please call ahead to ensure that a feline friendly staff member is available when you arrive. The fee is $15. For full service cat grooming we highly recommend our colleague Melissa’s small business The Cat’s Pajamas. She provides feline only mobile grooming, and serves most of the DMV area.

Are your groomers trained in breed standard cuts?

Our groomers are professionally certified in all breed cuts. However it is helpful to know at the time of booking what kind of cut you are looking for. Each groomer has different strengths, and a detailed description of what you are looking for will help us match you with the best stylist for your dog.
