Let’s face it: maintaining your dog’s coat can start to feel like a full time job. A lot of the breeds and mixed breeds that have gained popularity over the past several years are non-shedding dogs. This sounds like a great proposition….but the trade off is lots of coat maintenance and brushing! Every dog’s hair type is different. Differences in hair length, thickness, type, and curl can change your dog’s maintenance routine drastically. Have a shedding dog? We can help with that too! Our main goal is to help you build confidence to keep up with your dog’s coat between appointments, and provide you with the tips, tricks, and tools to keep your pup feeling and looking their best!
All you Doodle people out there know this word all too well…..matting! Matting is a coat condition that is caused by dense tangles and knots. It's a painful condition that can lead to other health concerns such as infections or skin irritations and can also mask other health issues or parasites. Mats cut off the air flow in your dog's hair and can trap moisture, which can cause irritation and sores on your dog. Even mild matting can be painful, but in severe cases, matting can cut off circulation to your dog's skin and cause hematomas. We do not provide or condone de-matting for moderate to severe cases. The safest and most humane way to remove mats is to shave them out, often all over. If this has happened to your dog in the past and you aren’t sure how to prevent it from happening again…a Coat Maintenance Consultation is definitely a great idea! All consultations are approximately 30 minutes to 60 minutes in length and are one on one with you and our Grooming Team Lead(s). Here are our different Consultation package options:

Tools for Success ($45.00)
A full assessment of your dog’s coat condition and at-home maintenance requirements. A tutorial of different grooming tools, how to use them safely and which ones are best for your dog’s individual needs. Includes a slicker brush, Greyhound comb, brush out & nail trim.
Everything but the Grooming Table ($60.00)
A full assessment of your dog’s coat condition and at-home maintenance requirements. A tutorial of different grooming tools, how to use them safely and which ones are best for your dog’s individual needs. Includes a slicker brush, Greyhound comb, dematting comb, conditioning spray, brush out & nail trim.
